10 Secrets to a Healthy and Abundant Life

Maintaining a life of abundance is something we should all be striving for. Whether that is a greater abundance of love, prosperity, or health; start working your way towards it today. In order for us to have an abundant life, it’s important to take care of ourselves. By taking care of ourselves first, it’s easier to achieve abundance in other areas of our life after. Maintaining a healthy life is key to creating an abundant life. These 10 ways are good places to start on your journey to greater abundance and health.

#1: Cleanse your Body

Cleansing or “detoxing” your body is a great place to start. Detoxing can remove toxins from the body, prevent chronic disease, slow premature aging, and help with weight loss. Not only are the benefits of “detoxing” physical, but there are some emotional ones as well. It can improve your quality of life because you’ll feel better and help restore balance to your body (and life) as well.

#2: Power Up

“Superfood” is a term used to describe a type of food that is high in health benefits. These health benefits include: high concentration of vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, and many others. These include foods such as Acai berries, eggs, apples, avocados, spinach, edamame, blueberries, black beans, brown rice, and asparagus. There are many other foods that would fall into this category so you should be able to find several you’ll enjoy. Try adding at least 3 superfoods into your daily diet for a more healthy life.

#3: Heal Your Gut

So much of our health is centered in our digestive system, or our gut. If you’re having digestive problems such as bloating or gas, problems with anxiety or depression, or even autoimmune disease; it’s likely that your gut is causing the problem. Good news: there’s a way to heal it naturally.

There’s a 4 step system that doctors have created to help. First, ‘remove’ the bad such as inflammatory foods and gastric irritants (like alcohol and caffeine). Second, ‘restore’ the good with digestive enzymes and hydrochloric acid. Third, ‘reinoculate’ the balance of good bacteria and bad bacteria. This can be done by using a probiotic similar to those found in yogurt and kefir. Finally, ‘repair’ your gut by supplementing restorative nutrients into your diet. Sometimes, an obstacle to living an abundant life can be a loss of purpose. Finding your purpose in life can be easier thank you think though. Look back on your life and find a common thread that links everything together. Perhaps you’ve always listened to friends and given great advice, maybe that’s your purpose. Another tip to try is go out and do. The more you experiment, the easier it will be to find your purpose. Finally, don’t get stuck on the idea that you only have one purpose in life. Just because you’re good at giving advice doesn’t mean you can’t be great at music too.

#6: Goodbye to Depression

Many people deal with depression in various forms. It can be crippling to try to live with depression when you can’t make any headway with it. Laughing, exercising, eating well, and getting enough sleep are some simple things you can try to help alleviate it. Make sure you get enough sunlight as well. The more daylight your body takes in, the less it will release hormones that can cause grumpiness. If grumpiness gets out of hand, it can lead to depression.

#7: Prevent Cancer Naturally

Cancer is a terrible disease that most of us have probably dealt with in some form or another. Whether we’ve fought it ourselves or we know someone who is fighting it now or has fought it in the past, it’s all around us. We can take steps now, though, to preventing cancer in our own lives by living a healthy life.

This means no tobacco and maintaining a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. It also means keeping a healthy weight, staying physically active, and protecting yourself from the sun. Immunizations are important too as they can help prevent illnesses that could increase your likelihood for cancer. Avoid risky behaviors that can cause infections and finally get regular checkups, just in case. Following these tips can help make your life more abundant and healthier.

#8: Healthy Eating 101

Most of us understand what it means to eat healthy but just understanding it doesn’t make it easy. It’s important to remember that we need to eat the right amount of calories for our body type and our activity level. Most people eat too many. Try basing meals off of starchy carbohydrates like whole grains and potatoes. Remember, fruits and veggies are a must; you should try eating at least 5 of these a day. Make sure to drink plenty of liquid a day and stay away from sodas. Finally, make sure you eat breakfast. Eating breakfast has been proven to help maintain a healthy weight.

#9: Stop the Sugar

How can we control sugar cravings? I have a huge sweet tooth so this is one I struggle with sometimes. Try combining foods like chocolate dipped strawberries. That way you can still get your sugar fix without binging on just the sugar. Gum and going for a walk are also good alternatives. Finally, eating regularly will help beat cravings because you simply won’t be hungry for it. Controlling your sugar intake helps create a more healthy and therefore, a more abundant life.

#10: Essential Oils

Essential oils are very useful and there are as many different benefits as there are different oils. They are useful in promoting relaxation and sleep, improving skin complexion, and preventing illnesses just to name a few. You do have to be careful with them though as they are highly concentrated plant bases. Most essential oils need to be diluted with water or a carrier oil before using them. There are a few that can be ingested but make sure to check as most cannot.
